Which products and services have a high volume of complaints? Yesterday, the Provincial Consumer Protection Commission released statistics on the system's acceptance of complaints. In the first half of 2016, consumer protection committees at all levels in the province received a total of 5765 consumer complaints, accepted 5762 cases, and involved 17.8792 million yuan. Among them, the top five complaints in the commodity category are: automobiles and parts, communication products, food, clothing, and shoes.

Cars and components are one of the hardest hit areas for complaints. It is reported that there were 435 consumer complaints in the first half of the year, an increase of 16.27% compared to the same period last year.

"Firstly, there are many quality issues. Major components such as the engine, gearbox, chassis, instrument panel, etc., may experience oil leakage, air leakage, unstable idling, and inaccurate dials within a short period of use. Consumers spend tens or even hundreds of thousands of yuan to purchase products, but they dare not use them with confidence." The person in charge of the Provincial Consumer Protection Commission said, "Secondly, there is after-sales service. If the car malfunctions and multiple repairs cannot be eliminated, it has become a concern for car owners.", "Some 4S dealerships use components that contain cat tricks during the repair process. There are significant differences in quality assurance between original, original, and secondary products. In the process of car repair, the repair contract is not clearly marked, making it difficult to protect consumers' rights."

When purchasing a car, there are also issues with non-standard contracts. For example, there are many promotional activities for car loans and mortgages with a "zero fee rate", but the "zero fee rate" for car loans does not equal zero transaction fees. Operators downplay the latter's costs when selling cars, leading to car purchase disputes. In addition, the deposit has relevant provisions in the contract, and some consumers may not pay attention when signing the contract, often resulting in the deposit becoming a penalty for breach of contract due to failure to perform or fulfill the contract.

In recent years, the smell inside new cars has also become a focus of attention for car owners. Some new cars are suspected to have excessive formaldehyde in their decorative materials, which has also led to an increase in consumer complaints.
